Audio Blogging: it's all the rage

Check this out: go to audioblogger.com and fill in the information. They will give you a phone number to call and leave a message. That message will then be posted directly to the blog. For instance:



Kind of cool... and all part of Blogger's free service.

Really good, and free, software

Thought I'd throw these out there since more and more people are looking for alternatives to Microsoft, etc. Three really good, and free, applications:

1. Picasa v.2 - a free picture manager from Google = great
2. Firefox - the next generate of web browsers from Mozilla: small, light, and really powerful = great
3. Thunderbird - another app from Mozilla for all of your email needs: small, light, and powerful = good

Add to the links

As you can see, I'm changing things around a little on the blog. One new feature: the open links section on the right. Anyone can add a link and it's very easy. First, drag this link: HNet Links to your browser's link bar. Once you've done that, you're set. Simply click that button whenever you are on a web page that you would like to share. Fill in the title (and description if you like, although I don't think the description appears anywhere) and click the 'add link' button. That's it!

PS: if it asks you for a user name and password, use 'hollimannet' as your user name and 'holliman' as your password.

Migration complete?

If you are reading this, then you have found the new server! Congrats. Everything then should be back to normal. Except for the FTP settings... I'll have to send you the new one's so that you can post pictures again. (Unless of course you are using Buzznet or Hello, then you're set!)

It's like having a brand new garage

As you can see, Dianne was quite busy yesterday reorganizing the garage.



I wish that I had thought to take a "before" picture... but I am sure you can remember what it used to look like.



And YEA! We finally got her freezer, and it's so great!

Could not take it anymore...

Sorry. Just could not take that bad photo any longer. Here's a much better one of Charles sporting his new ear plugs in the bath. He was really become a fireball this week... running all over the place and talking our ears off. LOTS of new words and sentences.



Thomas here is also having fun in the bath. But this is about the only fun he has had all day. He has a chest cold and (we think) a sore throat - we think this because he would not eat any dinner. And when Thomas won't eat, you know something is wrong. Doctor's visit tomorrow... more info to come. The rest of the photo shoot can be found here.

1977 Photo (one of very few we have) seems to be the same face behind the balloon photo of Charles Birthday.

Charles' Birthday Celebration

Dianne put together a great party to celebrate Charles' second birthday.


In addition to our family, our friends Joy and Don brought their daughter Hanna to the Party.


Charles was mostly shy the whole afternoon, but he did manage to overcome this long enough to open a few presents. It looks like he is finally starting to figure out what "presents" are all about.


And of course by the end of the day he came out of his shell, just in time for dinner.

Most of my pictures were taken on film, so stay tuned for more after we get them developed. But there are more from the digital camera (thank you Jennifer for thaking them!) up on the photo blog found here.

Charles Celebrates at School

Charles and his schoolmates celebrated his birthday today with cupcakes and muffins that Dianne made last night.
