Oops, They Did It Again

Third time's the charm? I dunno... but the boneheads that are constructing the building next door got yet another truck stuck in our backyard.

Don't Mock Me

As I was watering some of the plants in the backyard tonight, there was a bird (a mockingbird I think) flying around me, harassing me. It was quite annoying and I couldn't figure out why she was being so bold until I got to the hibiscus.

Too cute. I went inside and watched and sure enough she was bringing the baby food, so I hope everything works out well.

Thomas takes a ride!

After putting some hay into the pastures, Thomas decided he could be Tractor Boy and took a ride. Charles was Farm Truck Boy and may try the tractor next time.

Great Dads!

The weekend started with a great rainbow Thursday night, and continued with fun for all. Rain off and on, but good boys, great dads! Michelle and Mark came, Jennifer checked in, and there was bacon, cucumbers for everyone. We appreciated all the attention.

Zoobilee

We took the boys to the Zoobilee at the Houston Zoo tonight. During Zoobilee the zoo is closed to non-members, and they set up special little activities for then kids, snacks, and different options for dinner. We were barley there 30 minutes when the rain came. Thinking it would pass soon, we took shelter at the snack bar where we managed to stay somewhat dry for the hour long wait.

The rain never stopped, but it did let up enough for us to make it to the reptile house, one other indoor exhibit, and then back to the car.
The boys were not able to finish the scavenger hunt that would have won them a prize, but the zoo folks were nice enough to hand them out anyway.

Brilliant!

Our landlord is constructing a new building right next to the house in which we office. On May 15, right after a couple of days of rain, they decided to bring in all the materials. That effort lasted about 1 minute, and the subsequent rescue took about 6 hours.

It finally took a massive tow truck to get the thing out.

So of course, with all the rain that we got last night, they decided what a great day it would be to bring in the concrete.

Brilliant! I'll let you know how they get out of this one if I am here when they finally figure it out.

"If you shake milk long enough...

...it turns to butter." That is according to Charles. I always thought that there was more to it, but the proof is definitely in the pudding butter... its pretty yummy.
